Grown from friendship

TWO BEST FRIENDS. ONE OLD GREENHOUSE.
A WHOLE LOT OF FLOWERS.

Nana’s Blue Greenhouse is a women-run flower farm and plant nursery nestled between the Appalachian and Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.

How it all began

Janel Louk and Rachel Butler have been friends for 17 years and have spent nearly as long talking about starting a business together. Then, during the winter of 2021, they spent a cold, gray day cleaning out Janel’s mother’s greenhouse. By the end of the day, the greenhouse was clean, and Nana’s Blue Greenhouse was born.

Rooted in the Shenandoah Valley

Our little farm sits on a country property that is more than 150 years old. Winters can be cold and bitter, springs wet and muddy, and summer days long and hot, but those changing seasons help produce some truly remarkable flowers and memories.
